Priscilla Series

This triptych series draws inspiration from Sofia Coppola’s Priscilla, both its dreamy color palette and its mood. Through these works, I wanted to explore the layered experience of girlhood in the South. Magnolias, dance cards, shotguns, and lipstick all sit side by side—symbols of beauty, tradition, contradiction, and stereotype. Together, they question how Southern women navigate and reclaim the stories told about them, reshaping those narratives into something more complex and true.
